A Relaxed Indoor-Outdoor Studio Family Photo Session
Some families bring chaos, laughter and joy in equal measure—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This gorgeous crew recently came to my Lane Cove studio for a relaxed indoor-outdoor family photo session. With two little ones full of personality and giggles, it was the perfect mix of fun and connection.
Our natural light studio and adjoining garden space let us move easily between indoor portraits and playful outdoor moments. This flexibility is especially helpful with young kids—when they need a breather or want to explore, we follow their lead.
It’s why I designed the Photo Finish Photography studio the way I did. Some families feel more relaxed indoors, others come alive outside. Mum said she loved our casual and relaxed photos and wanted to capture this precious time with her new addition to the family as the last time they had portraits was at their wedding when their eldest was 5 months old.
We did a mixture of studio and outdoor as whilst it may not look freezing here, it was (Sydney winters!) and we needed bring Baby F into the studio for some special shots to show off his rolls!!
This family is the most beautiful, genuine and relaxed family and I love how she gave me the tip “Our 3 year old can be challenging - he loves bins so you can talk about them!” and it worked a treat!!!
